Craig Andrew Schneider is a character on the series, Harpers Falls. He is played by actor Scott Bryce, who is best known for his role of Craig Montgomery on the now-defunct, As the World Turns.
Dylan and Sheila's birth father[]
Craig Schneider is a mystery, an enigmatic person who, until now, was a former name in Michelle Harper's life. He was later revealed to be the father of her twin children, Dylan and Sheila Harper.
Craig met Michelle when she was starting out in the Symphony orchestra. He played flute in the woodwind section and she was first chair cellist. They fell for one another almost immediately. They dated constantly, and then they had a night of passion. This was where Dylan and Sheila were conceived.
However, he left Boston after he met and married a nasty woman named Nancy Stuelpnagel, who lived in Yankton, South Dakota. They had a loveless marriage, and she did not want Craig to have ANY contact with his children, although she grudgingly accepted that he could write to them, thereby establishing SOME contact.
After a while, Craig had had enough of Nancy and her nastiness. He quit his job at a shoe store and using his connections with the symphony, he became the new artistic director. When he arrived in Boston, he shocked his former girl friend, Michelle, and stunned his children, when he showed up on his doorstep.
After some initial hesitation, Dylan and Sheila opened themselves to Craig, and allowed him to meet their children. They take to him as their grandfather with ease.
Craig also has talked with Sam and Lahoma Lucas and he accepts them being in his children's life. He has also met and gotten on well with the twins' adopted siblings. Craig has truly become part of the family.
Romance came to Craig when he was matched together with Wendy Harper. The two clicked and after a brief engagement period, they got married.
